The one day event which attracted more than 60 participants was facilitated by experts in career development the likes of Dr. Chika Ezeh, Managing Director of the company, and Engr. Lucky Nwosa, a director at National Office for Technology Acquisition, NOTAP.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ezeh, stated that there are three ways people see their jobs: “Work, profession or calling.
She explained: “People who see their jobs as work, work just to earn salary; those who see their jobs as profession, works do better themselvesby investing their money to develop themselves while people who see their work as a calling are the best in the category because they use their talents to make money, earn higher and are satisfied with their jobs.”
She advised the audience that rather than labouring for others for years without nothing to show for it, without adding value to the business., and always demanding for pay rise and complaining that the economy is bad, “You can use your talent or hobby to earn your living, you earn higher and you don’t feel you are working.
She called on Nigerians to develop their in-born skills or talents, estimating that it can take more than 10,000 people off unemployment markets every month.
