Road to Prodigie Image Recognition Awards 2013 (Oyo,Kwara and Osun Edition) officially kicks off today with the unveiling of the hosts. The awards debuted in Akure on the 26th of January and that edition brought together higher institution in Ondo and Ekiti state and it was a very big success. This edition of the award comes with a brand new concept never witnessed in any awards ceremony anywhere in the world before which was the reason behind our hosts selection. Goldie was billed to be a co-host at this awards but for the untimely death that took her from us (may her soul rest in perfect peace).

Solidstar Acquires 31 Million Naira Land Property in Festac

 

The singer who is known for his Omotena and One in a Million hit singles got himself 2 plots of land valued at N15.5 million each in the Festac area of Lagos.

Sources close to the music star, who hails from Isoko, Delta State, said he got the land with the help of his political godfathers. Congrats to him!

Nollywood Actor Kelvin Ikeduba Involved In A Fatal Accident!

Nollywood actor, Kelvin Ikeduba, was involved in a serious car accident, he was said to have escaped death by the whiskers.

The auto crash happened in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when he was coming from an engagement in Ibadan, Oyo State. Sources said his vehicle, somersaulted about three times before finally hitting a pole. 
Thank God he survived. these recurring deaths in Nollywood is really getting out of hand.

Dilemma

Kelechi lost his job after his wife gave birth to their second daughter. For 6 yrs, he could not secure another job and the wife became the bread winner of their family, it was like hell.
One day, the wife came in & told her husband that there was a job interview somewhere, the husband went. Among 126 applicants, all they needed was just only one person for the post of Assistant General Manager.
Kelechi was not hopeful of anything good coming from there but his wife assured him that her uncle is a friend to the CEO of the company.
5 days after the interview, the CEO called Kelechi to meet him in his private hotel room for his appointment letter. In a twinkle of an eye he got there, with joy he opened the letter, 550k monthly salary to start with, 2 official cars, 5 bedroom duplex in Owerri, at the end of the letter was a note that "Your appointment could be terminated anytime incase there is any mis-conduct".
Out of joy he picked up his phone & called his wife. To his surprise his wife's phone rang right there in the hotel room. He looked towards the direction of the sound only to find his wife's bag somewhere at the corner of the room.

Nigerian Gospel Singer, Lanre Teriba 'Atorise' Shot In South Africa

Gospel singer, Lanre 'Atorise' Teriba is said to have had a bad deal the last time he was in South Africa to perform.
According to reports, the artiste was said to have left the shores of Nigeria to discharge his duty as an artist in South Africa. Lanre and Dele Taiwo performed at a Valentine show tagged 'Praise Night Concert in South Africa'.


The event, which took place on the 15th of February at West End Theater, G2 Entrance, Pretoria Show Ground, Pretoria West, was a huge success. But it didn't end well as Teriba was attacked immediately after the show by some unknown assailants. He was also shot in the leg, while valuable items like BlackBerry Porch, iPad, gold wristwatch and money were taken away from him. The artiste was later rushed to a nearby hospital in Pretoria for prompt treatment.

According to reports, he has fully recover from the wound sustained.

He owned a hip hop record label and he lived the high life of luxury hotels, gambling, strippers and bling. But behind the glitz and the glamour Tobechi Enyinna Onwuhara was one of the FBI’s most wanted men, allegedly a fraudster who scammed at least $44 million through cyber crimes.


But the sophisticated con artist, who fled Florida in August 2008 amid an intense FBI investigation, has been caught in Sydney and sent back to the US to face a string of fraud charges.

8-Year-Old Boy Marries 61-Year-Old Woman In Zimbabwe

About 100 people were witness to a most unusual wedding at the weekend. The bride was 61 years old and the groom was an eight-year-old boy! Both families were present at the wedding of Sanele Masilela (8) and Helen Shabangu (61) and the bride’s husband and her five children were also at the wedding in Zimbabwe.


The boy’s aunt, Patience Masilela (46), explained why the wedding took place. She said: “The boy was named after his late grandfather who never had a white wedding, so the ancestors told the boy to get married and he chose Helen to be his bride. The family took his desire to get married very seriously. They paid  for the bride in March last year and spent a lot on the wedding because they believed it was what the ancestors wanted.”

The bride said: “I’m married and have five kids of my own, but I know that this is what the ancestors wanted – and now they are happy. It is a ritual. We are just playing now, but it is a sign that he will get married one day.”

The young groom said: “I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to. I chose her because I love her and I’m happy that I married her – but I will go to school and study hard. When I’m older I will marry a lady my own age.”

The bride’s long-time husband, Alfred Shabangu (65), said that he never had a problem with her marrying the boy because he too knew that it was what the ancestors wanted. My kids and I are happy. We don’t have any problems with it,” he said.

However, some community members said they were shocked.One woman said: “How can a family go this far for the ancestors? It shows that people do take messages from the ancestors seriously.”
This was a not a legal marriage – it was only done for ritual purposes. The happy couple seal their marriage with a kiss.

Two senior citizens got an early Valentine's Day present from the local cops: Tickets for indecent exposure. Authorities say Linda Titus, 72, and Garry Wells, 62, were caught on Feb. 13 nakéd and having séx in a car parked in the lot of a local barbecue restaurant on Feb. 13.


The two allegedly showed up in separate cars at the rendezvous venue, ordered chicken and started getting intimaté in full view of other customers. Restaurant owner Rachael Shevlin had a bone to pick with the seniors' saucy behavior.

“It gets hot back here and it was obviously getting hot out there,” Shevlin said. “I mean, in the middle of the day too. What?” Authorites who were called to the scene found Titus and Wells "unclothéd" and "séxually engaged" in the back seat of a car.

The two were given tickets for indecent exposure.

Festac Link Bridge Kills One As A Result Of Explosion Underneath.

An explosion occured yesterday morning under the Festac Link Bridge, which took the life of a middle aged business man named Oladele Pius. His body parts flew in different directions and the police had to use shovel to scoop pieces of his body parts scattered around the scene into a bag. This occurred as a result of him being a passing by victim at that moment.Mr Pius happened to be the head of the sand dredgers association in the area.

  Darey Art Alade's LLM Concert was tha Bomb!! Kim K, who made so many people want to be present at the event didn't even stay long,she spent few seconds on the stage and boarded the next flight back to her country,that is to say #O Sare Kaba Kaba!!# lol

Kim'Ye was at the pre-dinner event for like 15 minutes, spent some time on the red carpet, had some photos with some guests for a few minutes, then appeared on stage at the beginning of the show for few second before she switched to #GHOST MODE# before she took the available next flight back to the states.
