MOTIVATION: Be Your Own Boss, Be A CEO; There Are 1001 Business That Haven't Been Done - Arik Olakune Raymond

 

There are 1001 business that still doesn't exist in Nigeria i.e we still have about one thousand and one business ideas we need to explore. I really appreciate the fact that there's a huge decrease in fraudster rate in today's Nigeria amongst our youths than that of two - three years ago. This simply means our youth are now getting serious with their lives and they know fraudulent acts won't lead them anywhere apart from a gated hell of a room.
Gone are the days we have pot belly C.E.O's heading a multi million Naira company, these days we now have YOUNG VIBRANT SUPER ENTREPRENEUR and the Up and Getting Entrepreneurs heading a million Naira company and a company worth thousands of Naira hmmm! still getting there. I see ladies empowering themselves, not waiting for a man to give them money because they already have their own business. Hundreds of ladies are into hair business on my list, tens are into Pink Lips products, another into clothing sales. Thumbs up to my Nigerian Women on this one.

    I said earlier, there are lots of business that exist, but doesn't exist in Nigeria. Look around the world, thank God Nigeria is part of the mobile world, we're in an internet world now, we use the internet to dress, to design our homes, to get things for ourselves. So therefore if you've not been outside Nigeria, I'll suggest you go, and if you do not have the opportunity or not interested in going out, then use the world of internet to go around the world, look at businesses that exist, pick a grain and plant in Nigeria. Don't be scared, every business has it's own risk and if you can sense and manage those risk, your business would be of success. I've met with C.E.O's that took high risk, some became successful while some crashed as a result of ignorance. If someone had told you to invest in an online tv in Nigeria not to talk about Africa, I'm sure you will decline the offer simply because we really do not have a good internet connection in Nigeria. Jason is a perfect example of the first successful person to bring internet tv to Nigeria and Africa after seeing Netflix, he brought the big mighty iROKO tv. Of course all the way from UK, he surely knew when he came to Nigeria 4 years ago that the internet was poor. He swaddled his pad on the business and iROko tv has millions of subscribers all around the world including our very own poor internet facility Nigeria. He noticed the world is on the go, so he decided to shut down the iROKO tv website in Africa and focus on the Android platform so you get to have iROKO Tv in your pocket which is working pretty fine.
   Another successful Internet tv owner in Nigeria today is Ade-Kaz CEO IBAKA tv. Kazeem came about IBAKA tv after seeing iROKO Tv, and trust me he's doing well in his lane. I know Jason and Ade-Kaz very well and trust me they are doing just fine rolling in millions.
   Talking more about other business which you will never believe will work in Nigeria is the online mall and trust me 70% of  Nigerians now shop online; all thanks to Jumia, Konga, Kaymu, PointeMart and it likes. Jumia was the first Online mall in Nigeria after the likes of Amazon & Ebay to mention a few, Jumia stormed and took over Nigeria and he's making millions daily.
  Erase the mindset that after school you want to work in a bank, you want a well paying salary job bla bla bla...
