Iyanya's Mr Oreo Deserves A Headies Nomination' Manager Claims

Iyanya's manager Ubi Franklin, has called out the Headies 2015 nomination list on social media, demanding more attention for his acts.

Iyanya made the recently released list, with a nomination for his single ‘Baby Daddy’. He is in running for the awards in the Best R&B Single.

Ubi has a controlling stake at Made Men Music Group, where he has Iyanya, Tekno, Selebobo, Baci, Mystro and DJ Coublon signed.

According to Ubi who took to microblogging platform Twitter to make the claim, Iyanya’s 2014 hit single ‘Mr Oreo’ deserves to be among the works contesting for this year’s honors.

 Ubi also made mention of DJ Coublon, who has been prolific this year. He is the producer of a number of hit singles including Kiss Daniel’s ‘Woju’, its remix, and ‘Laye’. Tekno’s ‘Duro’, and many more. He failed to get a mention.

 

Solidstar also ashed out at the Headies 2015 nomination list on social media, demanding more recognition.

The Achievas Music singer made the recently released list, with two nomination. He is in running for the awards in the Best Music Video and Best Reggae/Dancehall Single categories.

Solidstar believes he deserves more nods on the list, and has taken to twitter to express his thoughts. first he expresses his 'thanks' to the organisers of The Headies, before throwing in the specifics of his demand.

"Thanks to Headies for recognising all the hardwork we put into making good music! 2 nominations, I deserve 1 for best collabo though...My Body ft Timaya and Baby Jollof ft Tiwa Savage!" He said.

 This is the second time Solidstar has expressed his displeasure with a music award. The first was the NEA and now HEADIES.
