The Head of Mission, Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Sanusi Abdullahi, has expressed optimism that the security challenge facing Nigeria will soon come to an end.
Abdullahi, who is also the Executive Secretary, Lake Chad Basin Commission, expressed this hope when he visited the Chief of Army staff, Tukur Buratai, in Abuja on Thursday.
According to a statement signed by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, Abdullahi commended the efforts of the Nigerian Army in the ongoing fight against the insurgents.
He promised to support the Nigerian Army in the discharge of its duties.
He stated that the task force will support the Nigerian Army with a view to bringing the insurgency to an end.
Buratai, in his response, thanked him for his support and cooperation during his brief stay as Commander, Multinational Joint Task Force.
Buratai, before becoming the COAS, was the Commander of the task force while Abdullahi was the Head of Mission.
