BUHARI-OFFICIAL

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered the arrest of his brother-in-law, Musa Yola, for allegedly extorting money from an unnamed businessman. Yola is said to be the immediate younger brother of Mr. Buhari’s wife. According to reports, the suspect who is popularly known as ‘Alhaji Yola,’ reportedly received the sum of N300 million from the said businessman after promising to provide him with political access to secure an oil block from the Buhari administration.

“Buhari personally ordered last Monday night that Mr. Yola be produced before him in handcuffs in the company of the businessman he duped,” a source told Abusidiqu.com. Buhari is said to have told the businessman that he was stupid to part with such significant sum of money when he should know that he, Buhari, would not participate in fraud. “Buhari also ordered agents of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) attached to Aso Rock Villa to thoroughly investigate the scam,” the source added. Buhari also directed the DSS to ensure that the businessman recovered his money from his brother-in-law. A source in the DSS said, “Alhaji Yola has refunded the money to the affected businessman.” The suspect has, however, been released on bail. “Alhaji Yola has been released on bail,” the DSS source added.
