Suspected Boko Haram members have killed a District Head of Dusuma Ward of Jere Local Government Area of Borno State, Kazalla Ali, and his son.
Suspected Boko Haram members have killed a District Head of Dusuma Ward of Jere Local Government Area of Borno State, Kazalla Ali, and his son.
It was learnt that the sect members numbering about three on Monday
night, stormed Ali’s residence around 8 p.m. in Dalwa village, Konduga
local government area of the state, where they allegedly killed him and
his son.
Ali, who was newly turbaned as a district head was reportedly gunned down in the presence of his family members, who stormed his home.
Ali’s 30-year-old son, was said to have incurred the wrath of the sect’s members, when he attempted to grab one of the assailants.
A source in the state Emirate Council, confirmed the killing of the
district head and his son to journalists, stating that the victims died
on the spot due to excessive bleeding from gunshots wound.
In another incident, a prominent Maiduguri-based car dealer, Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji, was Tuesday morning shot dead.
The deceased, who was the Chairman of Magaji motors, was reportedly shot dead by two gunmen in his office in Gwange area.
Eyewitnesses told journalists that the assailants had stormed Magaji’s
office and shot him three times before they fled the scene.
Spokesman of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Lt- Col. Sagir Musa, told
journalists that he was yet to get the report of the two incidents.
